| Summary: | The study of Mongol history is one of the most important fields of historical research in Türkiye. It is a fact that research on Mongol history has risen to an important level, especially in recent years. There are several reasons for this development. The curiosity of Turkish people about Mongol history is growing, which not only increases the number of people who are interested in Mongol historical research, but also encourages their work. In this way, the process is self-perpetuating and the place of Mongol studies in Turkish historiography is becoming more and more consolidated. In this study, I will discuss the course of historical research on Mongol history after the establishment of the Republic of Türkiye. In recent years, several studies havebeen published on Mongol studies in Türkiye, however, it has become necessary to update this list of studies due to new work published in the meantime. Additionally, the subject was discussed here with a thematic classification. It is not the purpose of this study to provide a list of master’s theses and doctoral dissertations completed in Türkiye. Such research was included in this study because it was published as books or articles in the years following its completion. In addition, some dissertations that have made serious contributions to the study of Mongol history research in Türkiye have been mentioned as well. |
