Summary:An analysis of the differences in the universalist and cultural relativist positions of two contemporary authors, Raúl Domingo Motta Díaz and Eduardo Andrés Sandoval Forero, is presented. Through a critical dialectical method, syntheses and diatheses of the comparison of his main theses are presented. It is found that in the proposals of each author there are relativisms and universalisms that are observed from different edges of a complex reality.
