Summary:Because life damage of the liquid crystal display caused by normal test couldn’t be quantified, and the test cycle was relativelylong, test parameters which equaled to the real life damage were derived by strengthening the test model, and two kinds of reliabilityenhancement test profile were developed including temperature cycle and compositive stress from the point of view of the design life of thedisplay and its real work situation. The new test profile not only insured the robust of the product, but also avoided the superfluous reliabilityproblem caused by the excessive severe test. Several potential failure modes of the product could be rapidly excited by the test, and the properreliability of liquid crystal display could be improved by failure analysis and corrective action.
