Description
Summary:As original experience of being-there, communication essentially corresponds to forms of living in common, and it is central to educational and formative processes. After a brief review of the relations between pedagogical reflection and communication, the essay intends to explore some contemporary forms of social interaction, and in particular those related to the establishment of sexual and sentimental relationships. In the light of the most recent economic, technological and social transformations, the forms of communication recurring in these kinds of relationships often reveal consolidated processes of reification that obscure the ability to read others’ behaviour, as well as the ability to understand one’s own emotions. Starting from this scenario, a pedagogical hypothesis is proposed for communication education.
