| Summary: | As an institution, the Free Brussels University, like any other Belgian University, has its own cultural patrimony and has the right to manage it by itself. This obviously gives rise to a number of questions. What is the awareness of this patrimony among University members? How does it help establishing a collective identity? How can it be used and promoted inside and outside the University? Beyond the legal, institutional and regulatory contexts, here will be brought up a few steps in the History of patrimonial units (Archives, museums, Réserve précieuse…), as well as a reflection about the purpose behind the establishment of a reasoned patrimony. |
