Description
Summary:Skull base osteomyelitis (SBO) is a dangerous clinical condition caused due to infections in the structures around the skull base. It is usually seen in patients having a compromised immune system. We report one such rare case of SBO in a young, female of 22 years of age, who presented in the outpatient department with symptoms of lateral rectus palsy diagnosed to have Skull base osteomyelitis (SBO) on imaging. This case is unique because the causative organism, which was identified as Mycobacterium tuberculosis is an unusual cause of SBO.
