Thus, the good governance model is proposed by the international institutions, and the structure, indicators and institutional and social arrangements of this model have an impact on economic development. In the years 2006-2017, which coincides with the period of the Justice and Development Party in Turkey and the presidency of Ahmadinejad and Rouhani in Iran, according to the statistics of international institutions, the economic indicators in the two countries are different. According to this background, it seems that the category of governance in the two countries has an impact on this issue. Therefore, the main question of this article is what is the role of the good governance model in the economic development of Iran and Turkey in the mentioned period? The findings of this research show that the status of good governance indicators leads to the improvement or decline of economic indicators in two countries and also in comparison with each other in certain periods. Therefore, this article deals with the role of good governance in the economic development of Iran and Turkey with an analytical-descriptive method and a comparative approach, relying on the statistics of international authorities.
