Summary:Since 2000, many landscape photographic observatories (Observatoire Photographique du Paysage, OPP) have spread out in France and all around Europe, either at local, regional and national levels. They tend to be better integrated into public policies throughout planning and assessment. They are also use as communication tool between people and local stakeholders through survey and participative actions. These experimentations open up new horizons for the implementation of OPP to get information about landscape dynamics as well as about social representation of landscape dynamics.
