Description
Summary:There have been major changes in the traditional structure of capitalist groups in Turkey, which are related to the formation of new financial and industrial group that, in the view of author of this article, may be defined as “Erdogans cartel”. This consortium arose for the first time in the construction sector in 2005 and has been developing in a close relationship with other capitalist groups and especially with the army that had long been transformed into a peculiar form of a capitalist company. The “cartel” has reached to an absolute dominance in the national economy after the “seizure” of the energy sector. However, in this short article we will not touch to the most important conclusions: What consequences in the political superstructure have been arising as a result of these new sort of economic relations? This study will be the topic of another article.
