description Abstract Introduction Blunt chest trauma resulting in cardiac injury is a significant cause of mortality in trauma patients. Among the most critical sequelae, acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and ventricular tachycardia (VT) require prompt medical attention because of their potentially life-threatening nature. This case report examines the clinical progression and therapeutic approach in a patient who presented with these severe cardiac complications. Case presentation A 42-year-old male was admitted with significant sternal pain, acute respiratory compromise, and substantial hemorrhage from cranial and facial injuries following a traumatic event. Initial clinical evaluation revealed elevated cardiac biomarkers and electrocardiographic abnormalities, resulting in the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) complicated by ventricular tachycardia (VT). Conclusion This investigation underscores the paramount importance of expeditious diagnosis and intervention for acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and ventricular tachycardia (VT) in patients with blunt chest trauma. These findings demonstrate that even with comprehensive therapeutic intervention, severe cardiac complications may result in adverse outcomes.
