description One of the common functional disorders of stroke is dysphagia which often accompanied by malnutrition, dehydration and pneumonia. As may threaten the life sometimes, it is necessary to explore efficient therapeutic methods of dysphagia treatment. Unfortunately, clinical practice for post-stroke dysphagia remains a challenge. Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) can ameliorate the patients' function by influencing the excitability of cerebral cortex, which provides a new way to treat dysphagia. In recent years, it has been reported that TMS has some positive effects on dysphagia. The aim of this review is to summarize the application of TMS on dysphagia.
