Description
Summary:This texts focuses on a teaching and learning experience with newly arrived young migrants at the University of Rouen, initiated in December 2018. This experience gathers volunteers, both teachers and students, and aims to give better integration conditions for these unaccompanied minors, left without any solution for housing, eating and schooling for weeks or even months. After presenting the context and the organisation of the lessons, the first two coordinators present the hundreds of welcomed teenagers, their heterogeneity, their linguistic, social and education backgrounds and experiences before they arrived. This text focuses on what they are as learners, their needs of formation and guidance in their integration to the host society.
