Summary:Objective: To determine risk factors for infection in patients after orthotopic liver transplantation.Material: Retrospective analysis of 215 liver transplantations in the Sklifosofsky Research Institute for Emergency Medicine.Results: Bleeding from esophageal varices, the presence of refractory ascites, prolonged cold ischemia, reperfusion injury, severe graft, hyperbilirubinemia, as well as a number of comorbidities were found as established reliable risk factors for infectious and septic complications after liver transplantation.
