Description
Summary:Prior studies have investigated corporate culture, structure, and performance, yet the mediating role of structure between culture and performance is underexplored. This study examines this interplay, focusing on structural mediation. Data from 500 publicly listed Vietnamese firms were analyzed using regression to test an integrative model. Results reveal that a strong corporate culture enhances organic structures and boosts performance, highlighting the critical role of structure in mediating culture-performance relationships. Additionally, organic corporate structures are found to significantly drive performance outcomes. Most importantly, the analysis reveals that corporate structure serves as a significant mediator in the relationship between culture and performance. These results suggest that aligning corporate structure with organizational culture can enhance performance, offering strategic implications for business leaders. Companies seeking to improve competitiveness should consider structural adjustments that reinforce their cultural strengths. This study contributes to the literature by clarifying how structure functions as a conduit through which culture affects performance, and it provides practical guidance for organizations aiming to optimize their internal dynamics for better outcomes. The findings support the integration of cultural and structural strategies to achieve sustainable business success.
