| description | This study aimed at identifying the knowledge produced on the Ludo issue in articles available in a data base. The study, of descriptive character, was based on a bibliographic verification of periodicals indexed in the Lilacs and published between 1985 and 2001. One selected 39 articles that were grouped in categories and sub-categories. Categories show the importance of a toy for the development of a child and its application. One concludes that even though the interest of researches for the theme is big, their publications continue limited to speech and experiences published on the permanent application of the Ludo are just a few.
