| Summary: | The purpose of this paper is to investigate communication strategies and cross-linguistic interaction in the presentation of cooking recipes in L2 and L3. As the results show, all the subjects' languages participate in linguistic processing, so cross-linguistic interaction operates in several directions. Moreover, the use of various communication strategies helps the subjects compensate for lack of specific target language knowledge, especially lexical knowledge. |
