| description | The time and space categories are present in the urban research of Geography, especially in Urban Historical Geography. The objective of this work is to indicate the need to carry out studies of cities of Alagoas, under geographies of the past, as a mode of historical narratives. It was based on theoretical reflections that bring together authors who deal with this type of investigation. This is an exploratory research that demanded, for the moment, bibliographic research (theoretical and empirical). It is concluded that the investigation of the space and time of Alagoas cities, in the light of Historical Geography, by making use of documentary sources, interviews etc., can uncover social processes that help in the strengthening of their memories, going beyond simple description of the forms that compose them for the formations that have occurred in the past. |
