description The article explores the discursive features of “translator’s blog” as a hypergenre within the context of translators’ professional Internet discourse. The study aims to identify the factors driving the hybridization of institutional and personality-oriented discourses within the communicative space of hypergenre. The relevance of this research stems from the growing significance of translators’ blogs as platforms for professional communication, the exchange of knowledge within the domain of translation studies, and the development and realization of the translator’s professional identity. The paper outlines key discourse-forming elements of the hypergenre, including participants, chronotope, goals, values, strategies, content (themes), genres, and precedent texts. The findings highlight the hybrid nature of hypergenre, characterized by the interplay of institutional and personal discourse components. The institutional aspect shapes the conceptual boundaries of professional communication, determines the range of relevant topics, dictates stylistic norms, and guides interaction in line with professional standards. Meanwhile, the personality-oriented component reveals the translator-blogger’s inner world, self-reflection, and unique modes of self-expression as a communicative individual. The insights gained from the study can contribute to further research on translators’ professional identity and the mechanisms of knowledge transfer within the virtual space of professional translation discourse.
