description Along with the wide application of high-voltage converter, switching from variable frequency (VF) to power frequency (PF) has became a more and more important function. According to the stator voltage equation and the phasor diagram of induction motor, this paper proposes a smooth switching theory based on phase-lock principle and introduces several common switching modes. Practical application shows that this method can effectively reduce the motor current under synchronous switching and guarantee the smooth transition of the motor.
