Synthesis and Reactivity of Ynamine Amidines
Ynamine amidines can be synthesized from the 1,3-dichlorotrimethine cyanine and primary amines. Ammonia affords the reactive ynamine amidine having a free imino group. This compound cyclises readily with carbon dioxide and phenylisocyanate.
