Description
Summary:The research aimed to delve into the complex relationship between technology and cultural identity in Arabic literature, examining both the positive and negative aspects of this relationship. Cultural identity has been characterized as a combination of beliefs and traditions that constitute a certain culture, with literature serving as an important means of expressing and conserving this identity. The conception of technology and its impact on various aspects of life, including literature, was also discussed. It also explores the fundamentals of cultural identity and their significance in Arab society, how literature expresses this identity, the impact of technology on literature, and how technology transforms writing and publishing processes while providing access to a larger audience. It also emphasizes obstacles and negative consequences, such as the loss of traditional cultural identity, the impact of social media on intellectual voices, and the loss of focus and creativity. The research concludes that technology has a dual impact on cultural identity in Arabic literature, challenging awareness and ongoing efforts to preserve traditional values in a period of globalization. Writers and directors should take a balanced approach to using technology while still conserving their cultural heritage. Recommendations were provided to enhance cultural identity in Arabic literature through education, self-publishing, and cultural events.
