Description
Summary:A pilot study on Monosodium Glutamate (MG) wastewater treatment was conducted using adsorption and flocculation followed by two-stage Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR). In pretreatment of MG wastewater, best removal efficiency was reached by adding bentonite (1.6 g/L) as adsorbent and sodium polyacrylate (100 mg/kg) as coagulant. the removal rates were 55%-65% for CODcr and 85%-94% for SS under the condition of 40 ℃, pH 3.0. The removal efficiency of CODcr and SS were 94%-96% and 82%-93% respectively by using two-stage SBR in steady stage.
