| Summary: | The technical systems revolution and its role in changing the space in the current period can be fullycharacterized by the presence of different types of geographical networks that activate the productivesystems and redefine, in a global scale, the use of the territory, providing new possibilities to the material(objects, merchandise, people), and non-material flows (data, information, communication) even thoughthat occurs everywhere, in a very different way. As the different types of networks and transportationsystems do not occur in a homogeneous way in the territory and do not attend the interests of all agents, the roles of articulation of the actions and optimization of the work played by the geographical networksbecome restrict and limited, mainly for those places and actions that appear as being residual (withoutimportance) to the interests of the hegemonic economic-political system. The text emphasizes thischaracter of duality of the networks (integration/fragmentation), considerations are done from thecurrent nature of the transportation systems. The corporative logic of introduction and use of the networksin the Brazilian transportation system show this problem and appear as a starting point so we canrethink new political strategies for the use of the networks and the territory organization as well. |
