description Venous thromboembolic complications (VTC) occupy one of the central positions in the structure of complications associated with a new coronavirus infection. Characterized by high epidemiological thresholds, as well as an atypical clinical picture, they determine the search for new approaches to early diagnosis and active treatment. Surgical treatment of pulmonary embolism, in itself, is an extremely controversial method of reperfusion of the pulmonary arterial bed basin. If we talk about pulmonary embolism associated with the new coronavirus infection, then we have not found a single described clinical case in the literature available to us. The article presents the first experience of complex treatment of subacute pulmonary embolism that developed against the background of COVID-19. The obtained treatment results demonstrate the need to develop a unified treatment protocol at the intersection of interdisciplinary areas, which will help to find answers to the post.
