Hemophagocytosis was detected on bone marrow aspiration cytology and histoplasmosis was diagnosed on ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration cytology of cervical lymph nodes. Timely interference of antiretroviral therapy (ART), antifungals, and identification of HLH lead to recovery of the patient. |
