Agroecological testing of new hybrids of different maturity groups of corn in the conditions of the Republic of Bashkortostan

The study data (2022-2024) were conducted to identify highly productive corn hybrids for the conditions of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The grain yield of the studied FAO 140-170 hybrids was higher than the standard SK 22025 (13.31 t/ha), SK 22014 (13.70 t/ha) and SK 22024 (13.31 t/ha). In FAO 170...

Description
Summary:The study data (2022-2024) were conducted to identify highly productive corn hybrids for the conditions of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The grain yield of the studied FAO 140-170 hybrids was higher than the standard SK 22025 (13.31 t/ha), SK 22014 (13.70 t/ha) and SK 22024 (13.31 t/ha). In FAO 170-200 hybrids, the grain yield varied from 9.04 to 15.32 t/ha. The highest was in the hybrids SK 22032 (15.32 t/ha) SK 22012 (12.41 t/ha). In FAO 200-230 hybrids, the grain yield was in the range from 7.4 to 14.65 t/ha. Thus, in terms of ripening time, yield and quality of the crop, the most suitable for the conditions of the southern forest-steppe of the republic are the ultra-early hybrids (FAO 140-170) SK 22014, SK 22025, SK 22024, among the early hybrids (FAO 170-200) SK 22032, SK 22012, among the mid-early (FAO 200-230) SK 22046, SK 22048. Based on the results of competitive variety testing at the base of the Scientific Center of the Bashkir State Agrarian University, we recommend that these hybrids SK 22014, SK 22025, SK 22024, SK 22032, SK 22012, SK 22046, SK 22048 be transferred to state variety testing in the Federal State Budgetary Institution “State Variety Commission”.
