Description
Summary:A permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) is commonly utilized in many wind energy conversion systems (WECS). The main advantage of PMSG is variable-speed operation, and it can be connected directly to the turbine without a gearbox. In this paper, a PMSG is employed to convert wind energy into electrical energy and transmit it to a load through an AC-DC-AC converter. This circuit is modelled and simulated with the help of MATLAB simulation software, and the corresponding results are presented. The proposed method is suitable for microwind turbine applications to minimize landscape and connect PMSGs in parallel for better performance.
