Starting from a critique of the diasporic model applied to these populations, the analysis proposes to combine the historiography of migrations and that of itinerant mobility to rethink a presence inscribed at the crossroads of various geographical frames. The ladder game, both regional and cross-border, thus seems to define a specific morphology, based on local rooted communities and on the exercise of a current or intermittent circulation. |
