| Summary: | As a privileged space for the broadcasting of animated pictures, the Internet has become a place where new movie buff’s practices emerge. Through an investigation we lead by some active members (regular participants, webmasters) of blogs, forums and websites dedicated to the classical Hollywood musicals, then an analysis of their publics and practices, we studied how the Internet has created new ways of being a movie buff. The blogs, forums and websites we looked at turned out to correspond to different attitudes (ludic, discerning, or affective) towards the movies. The blogs thus prove how much the taste for cinema is a fundamental part of self-introducing for the passionate movie buffs, especially the young ones. The forums are spaces where sharp debates and narrowly-specialized discourses can be developed. At last, social networks henceforth allow movie lovers to use some very creative ways of sharing their passion widely (pages, groups, quizzes and applications). |
