description The poet of pre-Christian Irish society has not disappeared with the development of Christianity. Since the 5th century, he has indeed managed to adapt to the changes of society and the law treaties of the 7th-8th centuries locate him in the ranks of Irish élite. For instance, he has had to renounce the pagan elements of his art and, from then on, he embodies the mixture of vernacular tradition and Christian modernity. A great expert of Latin grammar and numerous works coming from Spain, notably (Isidore of Seville), he is also a jurist (School of Bretha Nemed), a jurist who is going to participate in setting down in writing and legal education.
