Description
Summary:Background. This article discusses the phenomenon of rigidity in combat veterans undergoing treatment in a specialized hospital. This phenomenon is found in many spheres of human life, but its research in the framework of interrelation with combat operations is practically absent and has never been as relevant as in the current political situation.  Purpose. The aim is to study the specifics of mental rigidity and the possibility of correction in patients of a hospital for war veterans who returned from a Special Military Operation. Materials and methods. The main methods of the study are the analysis of scientific literature devoted to the problem of the phenomenon of rigidity in patients who returned from the Special Military Operation; as well as diagnostic techniques including observation, description, conversation, questionnaires, testing, and methods of statistical data processing. Results. In the course of the study it was determined that the prevailing majority of people treated in the hospital for war veterans have significant difficulties in trying to adjust to the changes that have occurred in their lives after returning from the war zone. The bulk of people treated in a hospital for war veterans are prone to affectively colored expression and manifestation of inherently rigid behavior. Absolutely all people treated in the hospital for war veterans are inclined to display rigid behavior at those moments when they are in a state of fear or stress, i.e. rigid behavior demonstrated by the subjects in the course of their life activity has a similar causal character.
