| description | This study analyzes the Colombian textile sector, which has a long history due to its strong market demand, dating back to 1907, when the first textile companies were established in the country. These include Fábrica de Hilados y Tejidos El Hato, Compañía de Tejidos de Bello, Fábrica de Tejidos Hernández, and Compañía Colombiana de Tejidos (COLTEJER). The objective was to analyze strategies for textile business competitiveness in Colombia through clusters and free trade zones, contextualizing it in the city of Cúcuta. From an analytical perspective, the study was developed based on original documentary, bibliographic, and electronic sources; a brief evolutionary overview of the industry was provided. This study was justified by the strategies that companies should implement to remain competitive in the market and achieve reasonable profitability. Therefore, as a result of the research, strategies such as clusters and free trade zones were recommended for textile business competitiveness in Colombia, specifically in the city of Cúcuta. As a conclusion, simplify and streamline procedures. As a free zone user, the Dian (National Institute of Customs and Customs) and the control and foreign trade units should be allowed to participate in the entire customs financial process, and simplify the supervision and approval procedures for technology transfer without losing the quality management system for finished products or imports to the free zone by carrying out marketing. The design places the Cúcuta Free Zone at the regional and national level to showcase the benefits of a border-free zone, complementing it with tax, customs, and foreign trade benefits. Access to the metropolitan area of the city of Cúcuta with additional services from the road infrastructure. |
