Description
Summary:In this theme issue of Nordic Journal of Pedagogy & Critique, we focus on the importance of pedagogy for the well-being of children and young people, as well as concerns over a decline in well-being in the Nordic welfare states (Greve, 2022; Takle et al., 2023). The editors of this theme issue, Kirsten Elisa Petersen, Anne Morin, Stine Vik, and Jude Tah, are all members of a Nordic network focused on the well-being of children and young people, and related issues (SeWell). This network was funded by Nordforsk, and its purpose is to bring together researchers from the Nordic countries to discuss the understanding of well-being among children and young people, and not least increasing anxiety about a decline in well-being across the Nordic welfare states.
