Description
Summary:By focusing on the processes of political news manufacturing in the first French-language newspapers, this study demonstrates how the constraints and modes of news circulation influence the nature of political information and its writing in the 17th century. Thanks to the study of the media, discursive and enunciative processes employed by journalists, it appears that the first political press, by asserting to build itself on the uncertainty inherent to the media system of the time, gives birth to a “dire-vrai”, to a “mode de véridiction” (Michel Foucault), likely to satisfy a public which, in return, grants it success.
