| Summary: | ObjectiveTo investigate the influence of quenching process parameters (quenching temperature, time, oil temperature) on the deformation and hardness of 18Cr2Ni4WA steel spiral bevel gears during heat treatment, and to determine the optimal combination of quenching process parameters within the range.MethodsOrthogonal tests were designed to simulate gear heat treatment using Deform software. Based on test data, the grey correlation analysis was used to transform the multi-objective optimization problem of deformation and hardness into a single objective grey correlation degree optimization problem. Based on the main effect analysis method, the influence of various process parameters on gear deformation and hardness was analyzed, a regression model between grey correlation degree and process parameters was established, and the accuracy of the model was verified.ResultsThe main effect analysis results indicate that quenching temperature has the most significant impact on deformation, while oil temperature has the most significant impact on hardness. The optimal combination of quenching process parameters is quenching temperature of 820 ℃, quenching time of 1 200 s, and quenching oil temperature of 20 ℃. Under this parameter combination, the deformation and hardness of the tested gear are globally optimal. |
