Description
Summary:The relevance of the study is to improve the professional training of future naval officers by reforming special physical training, which is a key link between a naval officer and the perfect performance of official duties. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the problem of lack of long-term endurance arose for functioning naval officers and cadets. The purpose of the study is to provide a theoretical and analytical justification for the need to implement reforms in the physical training of naval cadets, taking into account combat experience. In writing the research article, the authors used the following scientific methods: theoretical (analysis and synthesis of literature); pedagogical (observation, testing, experiment); mathematical statistics, as well as graphical methods of scientific research. The authors of the study analysed the theoretical component of the definition of "endurance". The main types of endurance of military personnel are presented. After that, the researchers compared the physical fitness of the cadets of the military academy (last year's study) with the study conducted this year. Also, the cadets of the IWMS of the National University "OMA" were tested for moral and value attitude to physical education classes, using the author's questionnaire. The results of physical fitness of the cadets of 2023 and the results of physical fitness of the cadets of 2024 are different, namely: in 2024, the result "excellent" increased by 0.9 points; “good” – decreased by 0.2 points (i.e., the cadets improved their skills and received the result "excellent"), and “satisfactory” – also decreased by 0.7 points, which indicates a positive trend. However, the results of the author's questionnaire allowed us to see that the cadets of the IWMS of the National University of "OMA" are not at all aware of the issue of the "rowing simulator" and its effectiveness in acquiring such a skill as endurance. Instead, the cadets see the prospect of physical training classes to increase their level of fitness and improve their health and physical development.
