Description
Summary:The investigations reported in this paper are intended to obtain knowledge about stress concentrations within fibre reinforced plastics due to impact loadings below the damage threshold of the anisotropic material. The paper focuses on presenting the application of a dynamic photoelastic technique more than on providing extensive and detailed experimental data. Thus, a brief summary of the experimental part is given. The potential value of the developed experimental method is demonstrated exemplary for an arbitrary composite.
