description This research proposes an optical wireless power transmission (OWPT) system utilizing light-emitting diodes (LED) to enable real-time automatic charging for mobile devices. The system features a high-power, high-efficiency optical transmission design, incorporating a dual-axis beam-steering mechanism to maintain precise alignment with moving receivers in free space. By integrating machine vision and predictive control algorithms, the system ensures accurate tracking and stable power delivery under dynamic operating conditions. Simulation results show a large-scale power charging range. Experimental results demonstrate an output of up to 0.8 W from a 40 cm2 GaAs photovoltaic receiver at a 1 m distance. Additionally, the system supports the uninterrupted operation of low-power devices moving at speeds of up to 30 cm/s within a 4 m range. Validated through simulations and experiments, the system showcases its potential of automatic OWPT technology. It offers a reliable and efficient power solution for application scenarios such as smart homes and factories, eliminating the constraints associated with batteries or physical cables.
