description The study of crystalline nanosized phosphors KYF<sub>4</sub>:Eu<sup>3+</sup> was carried out for the first time in a range of europium concentrations. The particles were obtained by a modified hydrothermal method. The formation of two different cubic phases (α-KY<sub>3</sub>F<sub>10</sub> and KYF<sub>4</sub>) was detected depending on the ratio of reagents under synthesis conditions. The sizes and shapes of the synthesized particles were determined. For obtained particles, excitation and emission spectra were recorded, luminescence lifetimes and quantum yields were determined, and the mechanism of concentration quenching in these concentration series was disclosed.
