description In this article, a simple method is investigated to calculate the reflectioncoefficients for magnetized plasma by considering electron density profile with positive andnegative slopes on the basis of the transmission matrix. Interaction between electromagneticwaves and magnetized plasmas with linearly varying electron density with metallic substrateis analyzed. In the numerical analysis, the plasma layer is divided into sufficiently thin,adjacent subslabs. The result shows that the structure has well properties of electromagneticabsorption and frequency selective by adjusting the relative parameters.
