The Ahmadiyah Qodian group believes that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad is a Prophet while the Lahore group only understands Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as a reformer. In general, Ahmadiyah has a concept of prophecy where there are prophets who carry the Shari'a and prophets who do not bring the Shari'a, prophethood which does not bring new Shari'a may still continue throughout the ages. Ahmadiyah still believe in the Prophet Muhammad SAW as the last prophet who brought sharia. The Ahmadiyah view regarding the concept of "khataman nabiyyin" is understood as follows. The word "khatam" contains many meanings, including ring, stamp, seal. The sentence "khatamun nabiyyin" still carries a signal that there is still a gap in the existence of prophethood that may still be open after the Prophet Muhammad SAW. |
