| description | This paper explores the primary ethical issues in blood collection and supply work, providing ethical guidance for addressing these problems. Using a retrospective research method, complaints received through all channels by the Shandong Blood Center over the past five years were collected and categorized for analysis. The results indicate that ethical complaints during the blood donation process are diverse and numerous, though generally less severe. In contrast, ethical complaints during the transfusion process are fewer but relatively more severe. Blood centers should prioritize addressing these complaints, adopting a problem-oriented approach guided by ethical principles such as dignity, autonomy, non-maleficence, beneficence, and justice. By improving the service experience for donors and patients, a healthy, harmonious, and efficient environment for blood donation and transfusion can be created, promoting the high-quality development of transfusion services. |
