Description
Summary:Giant bladder stones are uncommon in our industrialized countries specially in the female and pediatric population. Cystolithotomy has always been the treatment of choice. We present the case of a 14 years old girl with a 75 × 53mm bladder stone discovered by ultrasound and confirmed by MRI. She was successfully managed by cystolithotripsy with the use of SuperPulsed thulium-Fiber laser. The treatment was conducted as two separate outpatient procedures and the recovery was uneventful. This case highlights the feasibility and advantages of minimally invasive management of giant bladder stone with the use of the Thulium Fiber Laser.
