description The article describes the peculiarities of migration processes in Ukraine during the war. The purpose of the article is the analysis of migration processes in Ukraine and their assessment in the context of Russian aggression. The article used general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, systematization and comparison of data. The war in Ukraine, the occupation of part of the territory by Russian troops caused a whole wave of internally displaced Ukrainians and external migrants, some of whom received the status of refugees in Europe. The authors analyzed the number of registered Ukrainian refugees in certain European countries since the beginning of the war. The largest number of forced migrants from Ukraine among European countries is registered in Poland and Germany. The positive and negative factors of migration processes in Ukraine in the conditions of war have been determined. The demographic distribution of Ukrainian refugees in Poland has been analyzed, which indicates the loss of Ukraine's human capital. The article notes the significant role of the diaspora in terms of adaptation and assistance to Ukrainian refugees in the countries of the world during the war, which is primarily manifested through the provision of information, assistance in orientation in the labor market, and acceleration of entrepreneurial activity and self-sufficiency. The importance of intensification of state efforts and the adoption of special programs for the return of Ukrainian migrants to the country, especially from the point of view of employment and provision of housing to the population, has been determined. It has been emphasized that the main drivers of the return of Ukrainians to the country will be the victory of Ukraine, the end of the war, economic growth based on the attraction of foreign investments, modernization and digitization of the economy, and an increase in the level of well-being of the population.
