SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC REACTION RATE METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF SLWR BASED ON ITS CATALYTIC EFFEICT ON THE OXIDATION OF GLLOCYANW BY PER0XYDISULPTE

A sensitive and selective procedure was developed for the spectrophotometric determination of silver by its catalytic effect on the oxidation of gallocyanine by peroxydisulphate in acidic media at 540 nm. Silver can be determined in the range of 0.001-0.500 µg/ml with a limit of detection of 0.0005...

Description
Summary:A sensitive and selective procedure was developed for the spectrophotometric determination of silver by its catalytic effect on the oxidation of gallocyanine by peroxydisulphate in acidic media at 540 nm. Silver can be determined in the range of 0.001-0.500 µg/ml with a limit of detection of 0.0005 µg/ml, by a fixed-time method of 4.0 min from initiation of the reaction, The relative standard deviation for ten replicate determinations of 0.050 µg/ml of Ag(1) is 1.4%. This method was used for the determination of silver in real smples. with a limit of detection of 0.0005 µg/ml, by a fixed-time method of 4.0 min from initiation of the reaction, The relative standard deviation for ten replicate determinations of 0.050 µg/ml of Ag(I) is 1.4%. This method was used for the determination of silver in real samples
