Description
Summary:This article presents new information on the medieval village of Jovka, known from written sources dated to the 13th–18th centuries. By means of a geophysical survey, targeted surface collection, terrain prospecting and a metal detector survey, also using aerial laser scanning, we acquired a clearer picture of the location and dating of this deserted village with the Church of St. Thomas in its built-up area. The rich material culture obtained by the non-destructive archaeological survey facilitates the reconstruction of the everyday life of the local population.
