description The publication discusses way finding (using the example of Novosibirsk) in an urban environment at different times of the day. In order to plan a route and find the necessary location, a pedestrian needs to analyze the surrounding space, memorize environmental objects and determine their features. In this work, we seek to identify the navigational potential of environmental objects and build hierarchical relationships using systematization and generalization methods between the elements of the composition within the view frame of the visual space. The study suggests that the most significant accents of the urban environment are color and light as the main orientation tools for tourists and visitors of the city.
