description Supervisor BLM is referred to as a unidimensional frame of mind that revolves around the attainment of bottom-line outcomes; this mentality is commonly found in today’s organizations. The question arises: Does this phenomenon affect the psychological states of employees who are working with supervisors with high BLM? Moreover, how can the detrimental effects of the same can be diminished? Guided by these questions, we draw the Stimulus-Organism-Response and the Cognitive Relational model to understand the effects of supervisor BLM. Using the data collected from 219 employees working in real estate companies in Pakistan, we found that supervisor BLM causes the perception of job insecurity in employees, which leads to workplace jealousy. we further found that the indirect relation between supervisor BLM and workplace jealousy via job insecurity was weaker for employees reporting a higher level of resilience. Our findings indicate that managers need to be cautious about bottom-line mentality because it may lead to adverse organizational outcomes. Moreover, limitations and future research areas have been discussed in detail.
