description In this paper we focus on the case of the « trio de l’Hôtel de Bourgogne » to consider the construction of theatrical community by writing, and to understand why three comedians (Gros Guillaume, Gaultier-Garguille and Turlupin) embodie the seventeenth-century French farce in the history of theater. Different from a « troupe » as a social configuration, the picture of the « trio » is built by various literary writings which particularize this group. Most of them were published from Gaultier-Garguille’s death, in Decembre 1633: the « trio » appears like the result of a generation effect and a funeral celebration. With this case, this article aims to think the articulation of individual and collective by studying the mechanisms of stardom with publishing.
