La introducción de la Ilustración en España trajo consigo la decisión de la eliminar del Tribunal de la Inquisición por parte de los gobiernos de José y Napoleón Bonaparte en 1808; y Las Cortes de Cádiz, en 1813. The introduction of the Enlightenment in Spain brought the decision to eliminate the Court of the Inquisition by the governments of Joseph and Napoleon Bonaparte in 1808; and The Cadiz Cortes in 1813. However, the circumstances around both processes show different intentions about reducing religious influence in the Spanish politicy.
